When combined with a dermolipectomy and resecting fat tissue, the labia majora remain flaccid, so they may require volume and shape adjustment. Genetic and/or traumatic conditions may also need correction by performing liposculpture and mucosal adjustment of the lips or may also be corrected with fat transfer to this area.

In many occasions, the pubic mound is bulged and it is required to extract fat tissue through liposuction during the procedure of an abdominoplasty.
